Family Intervention Services
Family Intervention Services are offered by a group of community agencies, including River Region, that work together to help families with substance abuse problems. Counselors remove barriers to treatment, which include assessments, case management, outreach and other services. Services are provided in various locations. Family Intervention Services are funded in part by the Department of Children and Families.
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding is provided by the Florida Department of Children and Families, and provides assistance for families with children through our TANF program. River Region offers FREE services for eligible adults, which include: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment; Individual and Group Counseling Sessions; and Residential Treatment for Substance Abuse. To learn more or to determine if you are eligible for these FREE services, visit the main campus located at 390 Park Street, Jacksonville. Walk-ins are welcome on Monday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Anger Management is a 9-week class to help individuals develop skills to successfully manage their anger.
Parenting Classes/Support Groups
Parenting classes and support groups are offered to parents in treatment or recovery. River Region provides services to support those in treatment and recovery with maintaining a healthy, positive relationship with children and significant others. The goal is to help clients maintain sobriety while transitioning through challenging times.
River Region offers programs when substance abuse treatment is court required. These programs offer treatment as an alternative to prosecution, and in most cases, prison time for those charged with a felony. These services include:
