MATRIX HOUSE TREATMENT PROGRAM

About

​

The MATRIX House Treatment Program is a secure correctional substance use disorder treatment program for clients who must serve a jail sentence and have been identified as having a problem with drugs or alcohol. It is a 16-month program that includes 120 days of in-jail treatment,  aftercare treatment and post incarceration.

This program is facilitated by River Region Human Services (RRHS) in partnership with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the City Of Jacksonville and is housed at the Community Transition Center (CTC). The CTC, a minimum security correctional facility, is located at 451 Catherine Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

Services

  • Five day orientation 

  • Individual counseling 

  • Treatment plan development and review 

  • In-depth assessment 

  • Seminars and primary group activities

  • Therapeutic Community (TC) events weekly

  • Case management 

Program Qualifications

​

  • Must be a resident of Duval County

  • Must be incarcerated and have at least a six-month sentence 

  • Must be court-ordered, volunteered or be referred by an attorney, family member, friend or JSO 

  • Must be screened and approved for housing at the Community Transition Center (CTC) 

  • Must meet criteria for substance use treatment
